Spirituality and Sustainability Conferences

In 1991, Dr. Ferrero became the Founding Director of the Study Abroad For the Earth Program in Italy and then in Ecuador and continued in that role for several years.

Also, Elisabeth Ferrero for several years organized and directed the International Conferences on Spirituality and Sustainability, which brought internationally renowned scholars and leading environmentalists together in Assisi, Italy and in Ecuador.  Thomas Berry was  Visiting Professor,  together with eminent scholars, such as Brian Swimme, Rupert Sheldrake,  Jill Purce, Mirian McGillis, Tony Cortese, Mirian Vilela, and many others.  The Conferences were aimed at transforming people's lives, inspired by Tom Berry's recurring thought that the environmental crises of today all foremost spiritual in nature.
